RIDGELINE AT CORDILLERA

CORDILLERA, COLORADO

Set in the Cordillera Mountains, Ridgeline at Cordillera is a contemporary mountain residence shaped by its relationship with the surrounding landscape. Nestled among mature aspens and evergreens, the home is positioned to capture expansive views across the Vail Valley and the layered mountain ridge lines beyond.

The architecture takes its cues from the terrain. A composition of pitched and low-slung roof forms follows the site’s natural contours, creating a series of overlapping ridge lines that echo the distinct mountains. Rather than standing apart from its setting, the residence settles into the hillside, allowing the architecture and landscape to read as a cohesive whole.

Natural materials reinforce that connection. Warm wood siding, weathered timber, stone, dark metal roofing, and expansive glazing reinterpret the familiar language of Colorado mountain architecture with a more refined and contemporary expression. Large windows and outdoor living areas are carefully oriented toward the views, strengthening the connection between the interior spaces and the surrounding landscape.

The landscaping was conceived as an extension of the architecture. Native and regionally appropriate plantings weave through existing aspens, evergreens, boulders, and the natural topography, softening the edges of the residence and allowing it to feel well established on the site.

Ridgeline at Cordillera is ultimately defined by a sense of place — a mountain home that balances warmth and permanence with a lighter contemporary expression, designed to belong naturally within the remarkable landscape of Cordillera.
