The Motor Gallery at Pilgrim Downs

Set within the aspens of Pilgrim Downs, The Motor Gallery is a highly curated automotive retreat that blurs the line between mountain residence and private exhibition space. Designed around a world-class collection of vintage Jaguars, the project elevates the traditional garage into an immersive, experiential environment.  

At its core, a double-height gallery emphasizes the vehicles as works of art. A custom turntable anchors the space, allowing each car to be rotated into view, which enhances the experience of display and appreciation. Exposed steel trusses and warm wooden ceilings create a sophisticated industrial aesthetic, while textured stone walls and soft ambient lighting connect the space to its alpine surroundings. 

The gallery goes beyond mere display to embody a lifestyle. It features a fully equipped bar, a lounge area, and an integrated golf simulator, transforming the space into a vibrant social hub ideal for entertaining, relaxing, and recreating. Large glass openings create a visual connection with the surrounding landscape, allowing natural light to flood in and enhancing the relationship between the interior experience and the mountain setting. 

The mezzanine level above offers a secondary viewpoint and features a luxurious exercise area that overlooks the collection below. This elevated space allows visitors to appreciate the automobiles from various angles, combining wellness with the visual excitement of the gallery. This design reinforces the immersive and lifestyle-oriented essence of the space.
